I make sure to look at the notes that the artist wrote and apply that to the recording. Q: Describe the most common type of work you do for your clients.Ī: I provide any and all percussion tracks and live services to clients.Ī: Before any recording session, I thoroughly listen to the tracks, looking for any specific hits and/or progressions that indicate where the music is going. Some bands that inspire my work include Red, Breaking Benjamin, Animals As Leaders, Avenged Sevenfold, and DIsturbed. For my DAW, I use Logic Pro X for all my recordings. As for overheads, I use Samson C02 Condensor Mics. I use Shure SM57 Mics for the Hi-Hat and Snare, with Shure 604s Mics for the Toms, and a Beta 52 for the kick. I make sure that what I do, enhances the experience and enjoyment of the song.Ī: My studio setup consists, starting with a dedicated studio room solely for the production of percussion and drum recordings.
